As we come to the end of the year, it is time we took stock of the resolutions we made at the beginning of the year. As the year comes to an end, some resolutions end too. And therein lies the challenge.
Some resolutions are meant to be lived and learnt, year after year. And you will agree that Celebrating Diversity deserves a whole month – to build our resolution to remove biases, to welcome talent which looks, speaks and works differently, to develop leaders from all under-represented talent pools. A resolution to be a diverse, equitable and inclusive employer.
It is imperative that we have a month that is dedicated to all things Diversity. A month where EVERY SINGLE day will stand for our commitment, our promise to be inclusive, to be mentors and allies to people less privileged than us, to share our ideas and best practices with all, so that together we create workplaces that are filled with the power of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. And what better month than December, which leads us, by the hand, into a new year, full of possibilities?
What is #DiversityMahostav?
#DiversityMahostav is an effort by Avtar to invite inspiring partners to devote an entire month, in celebrating inclusivity and belongingness. It is a set of initiatives for role model organizations to rope in their leaders, employees, vendors, suppliers, and the community at large to talk about what Diversity really means – in ways that are different and unique. After all, is that not what Diversity is all about!
31 days of sharing, learning, celebrating the uniqueness of every human being and carrying with us the promise of inclusion into the new year! That is #DiversityMahostav!
