Men as Allies
India’s high corporate and economic growth is not seeing women’s contribution in larger numbers. The gender gap in many organizations represents a significant missed opportunity for businesses in India. Even companies that have implemented a number of programs to attract, retain and develop women employees have fallen short of their targets. One reason could be the overarching focus on women without including and engaging men as partners and champions for the advancement of women. Therefore, engaging men in the workplace becomes crucial for the success of any gender balance agenda of the organisation. An ally is someone who is not a member of an underrepresented group but someone who takes the responsibility for making changes that will help others in that group be successful. Men as Allies workshop will take one through the Business case of Male Allies, and how their perceptions impact their business.
