Transformational journey and accomplishments must be recognized for inspiring future champions, especially when you are a changemaker in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Uncertain) world.

Working Mother & Avtar Most Inclusive Companies Index (MICI) is Corporate India’s pioneer inclusion Index in the country that recognizes companies whose inclusion intent transcends all diversity dimensions. Starting in 2019, MICI identifies the most inclusive companies from the list of applicant companies with exceptional practices towards the inclusion of gender, generation, sexual orientation (LGBTQ – Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, queer), physical capabilities (PwD – People with Disabilities), and culture.

The key segments that MICI covers are:

a) Diversity Representation across the key strands of diversity including gender, generation, people with disabilities, LGBTQ

b) Practices for fostering diversity and inclusion in recruitment, retention and advancement of people from diverse groups

c) Company culture on Inclusion

Based on the cumulative score (expressed as a percentage) companies got across the three segments, two categories of winning indices were decided:

Companies with an Inclusion Index score of 70% & above get the coveted CHAMPIONS OF INCLUSION AWARD
Companies with an Inclusion Index score of 55% & above are recognized with the EXEMPLARS OF INCLUSION AWARD
