This report is based on a research commissioned by GE and conducted by Avtar, titled ‘An exploratory study on Women’s employment in Operations, Manufacturing and Engineering Services in India’. This was carried out during September and October 2021 among 450 professionals (women and men), women engineering students, business and HR leaders in Operations, Manufacturing and Engineering Services sectors in India. The research aims to help corporate organizations, policy makers and educational institutions formulate conducive policies and practices to help gender inclusion in these core sectors of the economy.
